As you grow, you realize the world can be harsh and complex. To thrive, you need certain traits that make life more rewarding and enable you to become a contributing and productive person.

This article explores key skills essential for success, inspired by one of the most demanding career paths: the military.

Military personnel represent the highest form of safety and security for any nation. Our survival depends on a capable, committed, and disciplined group prepared to risk their lives against external and internal threats. Their commitment is unparalleled. There is no other job where one must be ready to face death daily.

The training for this field is the most gruelling in the world, demanding toughness and resilience.

At 360+ Learning, we draw inspiration from the military when designing our learning programmes. We encourage our students, regardless of age, to develop the same resilience, determination, grit, and discipline. By doing so, we are not only guiding our students towards academic and career success but also helping them contribute positively to humanity. Successful individuals often share traits with military figures

Confidence, preparation, grit and motivation cannot be stressed enough. Imbuing children with these qualities are far more important than teaching content.

Confidence

We teach our students to believe in themselves and their abilities. No test is unbeatable; it just requires hard work. Exams will be tough, but self-belief is the first step to passing them.

Preparation

Success doesn’t come by chance. It requires meticulous preparation. Whether joining the military, working in a corporate field, or campaigning for a social cause, it begins with hard work and focusing on turning weaknesses into strengths.

Grit

Life is full of setbacks and obstacles. What matters is the determination to get back up, analyze failures, and improve. Thomas Edison didn’t invent the lightbulb overnight—it took thousands of attempts. Regardless of age, adopting a persistent mindset is crucial for success in life and academia.

Motivation

Truly successful people are driven and fearless. Whatever your child pursues, they should have an unyielding desire to succeed.

It dawned on her that she could do anything. Repeating positive mantras really do work.

Recently, we had a young girl join our in-person summer camp. She was assertive and confident but struggled with numerical reasoning and Mathematics. She would give up after a short attempt, saying, “I can’t do it!” We encouraged her to close her eyes and repeat, “I can do anything!” Other children joined in, and soon, it transformed into “we can do anything!” This collective confidence helped her grow to enjoy Maths.

At 360+ Learning, we foster the same skills required of military personnel, helping students become productive and ethical individuals in this world.
